Who is the Fat Hypnotist?
Hi, I’m Paul Ramsay. I’m a board certified hypnotist, and I’ve been practicing hypnotism since 2004. I tour nationally as a stage hypnotist, I see clients for a variety of personal growth areas, and I also train hypnotists. I have hypnotized over 15,000 people. I’m an innovator in the world of stage hypnotism, a veteran practitioner, and a globally recognized professional.
And yet, I’m fat. Seriously fat. Obese, actually.
I’ve struggled with my weight for my entire adult life, which is a tremendous irony, when you’re a hypnotist, as weight reduction is one of the most popular reasons that people go to see hypnotists. By most other standards, I have an amazing life. I make a great living doing something I love, I have a beautiful partner and an amazing child, and I live in a beautiful place. There’s just this one aspect of my life that I haven’t been able to get it together on. Until now.
I decided that enough is enough, and that I wanted to create optimal health for myself. I also knew that if I didn’t make this project a big, public project, then I would be less likely to see it through, so I went BIG. I created this site, and I landed a gig hosting a series of interviews that focus on what it takes to lose weight, get healthy, and create the change that I really want in my life.
This website is a companion to my interview series with the same title. My hope is that by interviewing industry experts in personal development, hypnotism, nutrition, fitness, and more, I will create a comprehensive approach to achieving optimal wellness for myself, and perhaps benefitting others along the way. I’ll track my weight loss and health statistics here, as well as share extra thoughts and moments of clarity after I interview the experts.
I’m honored that you’ve taken the time to be here. I hope that documenting my own journey brings you some helpful ideas or resources that benefit you somehow. Leave your comments on the blogs, ask questions if you need help, and check out the interview series.
